The North Shore Musical Theater has been around since 1955 and has become one of New England’s largest operating regional theaters. The theater is located in Beverly, Massachusetts, and is owned by Bill Hanney. The plan was to build a restaurant, bowling alley, swimming pool, and condominium complex, but this soon changed in 1961 when they created the North Shore Community Arts Foundation.
North Shore Music Theater children’s shows are presented annually through a series of popular concerts. They have encountered many challenges such as theater fires, financial issues, and production cancellations, but they are still here to keep the art alive and well-performing.
